North Dakota is home to an abundance of wildlife that can be seen grazing among landscapes that look like a scene from an old western movie. Herds of bison, bald eagles and a wide range of amphibians live in North Dakota which is home to five national parks. Theodore Roosevelt used to hunt bison in the western part of the state which is where Theodore Roosevelt National Park got its name. This state is famous for its ancient fossils and was once underwater millions of years ago.
